Un poco sobre mí: 🎨🖼
Mi nombre es Leon Sieber y soy un artista de Freiburg, Alemania.
He estado dando cursos de arte creativo en La Palma desde octubre de 2020. Realizo cursos de dibujo y pintura cuatro veces a la semana y 1-2 cursos de fin de semana al mes. Nuestros temas pasados han incluido pintura en acuarela, dibujo, técnicas mixtas, técnica de collage, escultura con alambre, marmoleado, bocetos, experimentos de color abstracto, técnica de frotado, monotipo y técnicas de impresión. ¿Qué implica el curso?
En este curso, nos embarcamos en un viaje de exploración de la pintura en acuarela. Desde casas y caminos hasta palmeras, el cielo, humanos, animales, todo lo que encontramos se puede transferir al papel de una manera directa, divertida e inconvencional. Vamos a sumergirnos de lleno en el vibrante mundo del color, experimentando con varios matices, intensidad, tamaño, contraste, detalles, precisión e incluso conceptos abstractos.
¿Es posible cometer errores?
Creo que no se trata de distinguir entre lo correcto o incorrecto, lo bueno o malo. Tampoco requiere que seas particularmente hábil. En cambio, eludimos las tecnicidades y nos sumergimos en la experimentación, la exploración y la diversión. ¡Esto es aplicable tanto a principiantes como a aquellos con considerable experiencia!
¿Con qué tipo de material estaré trabajando?
Se te proporcionarán todos los materiales necesarios, incluyendo un bloc, papel, lápices, gomas de borrar, pinturas de acuarela, pinceles y más.
¿Que necesito llevar? ¿Puedo llevar mi propio equipo?
Eres bienvenido a traer tus propias herramientas, como colores, papel, pinceles, bolígrafos, etc. También puedes querer traer un cojín para sentarte en bancos de piedra o escalones, una botella de agua pequeña (½ litro), protector solar y agua potable personal.
¿Necesito algún conocimiento previo o talento artístico?
Para nada. De hecho, la experiencia previa o un estilo definido a veces puede suponer una barrera para explorar nuevos y emocionantes caminos artísticos. Por lo tanto, aunque se aprecia el talento o la experiencia previa, no es una necesidad. Tanto los principiantes como los profesionales encontrarán el curso igualmente disfrutable.
¿Qué pasa si mi objetivo final es pintar bien y hermosamente?
¡Esa es una meta fantástica! Sin embargo, es importante que definas qué significa 'bueno' y 'hermoso' para ti. Si tu sistema de valor de juicio está influenciado por las opiniones de maestros de arte, padres, parejas, vecinos o la sociedad, te aconsejaría que te abstengas de aspirar a pintar 'bueno y hermoso'. ¿Por qué no aventurarte en el salvaje y peligroso reino del arte?

A little bit about myself: 🎨🖼
My name is Leon Sieber and I am an artist from Freiburg, Germany.
I've been giving creative art courses in La Palma since October 2020. I conduct drawing and painting courses four times a week and 1-2 weekend courses per month. Our past topics have included Watercolor painting, drawing, mixed media, collage technique, sculpting with wire, marbling, sketching, abstract color experiments, frottage technique, monotype, and printing techniques. What does the course entail?
In this course, we embark on a journey of exploring watercolor painting. From houses and paths to palm trees, the sky, humans, animals - everything we come across can be transferred onto paper in a straightforward, fun, and unconventional way. We will dive right into the vibrant world of color, experimenting with various hues, intensity, size, contrast, details, precision, and even abstract concepts.
Is it possible to make mistakes?
I believe it's not about distinguishing between right or wrong, good or bad. Neither does it require you to be particularly skilled. Instead, we bypass the technicalities and dive right into experimentation, exploration, and fun! This is applicable to both beginners and those with considerable experience.
What kind of material will I be working with?
You'll be provided with all necessary materials including a pad, paper, pencils, erasers, watercolor paints, brushes, and more.
Do I need to bring any supplies? Can I bring my own equipment?
You are certainly welcome to bring your own tools, such as colors, paper, brushes, pens, etc. You may also want to bring a cushion for sitting, a small water bottle (½ liter), sunscreen, and personal drinking water.
Do I require any prior knowledge or artistic talent?
Not at all. In fact, prior experience or a defined style can sometimes pose a barrier to exploring new and exciting artistic paths. So while talent or previous experience is appreciated, it is not a necessity. Beginners and professionals alike will find the course equally enjoyable.
What if my ultimate goal is to paint well and beautifully?
That's a fantastic goal! It's important, however, that you define what 'good' and 'beautiful' mean to you. If your judgment value system is influenced by the opinions of art teachers, parents, partners, neighbors, or society, I would advise you to refrain from aiming to paint 'good and beautiful'. Instead, why not venture into the wild and dangerous realm of art?
